Milwaukee Hospitals’ Inpatient Revenue Down $45M in Five Months

HCTrends.com, a healthcare tracking firm, found that Milwaukee-area hospitals’ revenue from inpatient care decreased by $45 million from Oct. 2008 through Feb. 2009, according to a report in The Business Journal of Milwaukee.

The decreased revenue can be attributed to a significant decrease in the number of days patients spent overnight in the hospital during that period, according to the report.
