Louisiana hospital fined for alleged price transparency violations

CMS has fined Mandeville, La.-based Northlake Behavioral Health System $257,180 for alleged price transparency violations. 

The 140-bed hospital is the 25th that CMS has fined for alleged price transparency violations overall and the eighth the agency has fined in 2025. 

The $257,180 fine is the largest CMS has issued in 2025 and the sixth-largest it has imposed overall.

On Feb. 25, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing HHS and the Labor and Treasury departments, to “rapidly implement and enforce” healthcare price transparency enforcement regulations introduced during his first term.
