Patients will receive one consolidated bill for care rendered after Oct. 1 at Hedrick Medical Center or any other facility within Saint Luke’s, according to the report. Additionally, patients will be able to access health information, test results and billing information through an online patient portal or the mySaintLukes app.

“Moving to the Epic system will provide better security for our patients’ information and enable important health information sharing among a patient’s care providers, no matter where they receive care within the Saint Luke’s system,” Hedrick Medical Center CEO Steve Schieber told the News-Press. “Saint Luke’s has been successfully using this system since 2014, and based on its proven efficiency and benefit for patients, we are excited to implement it here.”
