Ridgewood (N.J.) Pathology Group awarded Healthcare Administrative Partners with a billing, coding and physician credentialing services contract Monday.
Under the terms of the agreement, HAP will perform core billing functions for RPG including coding, claims submissions, denial management and performance reporting.
Headquartered in Media, Pa., Healthcare Administrative Partners provides revenue cycle management solutions to independent practices, academic plans and other healthcare providers.
"With so many obstacles facing provider groups today, the onus is on outsourced revenue cycle management companies to be experts in their clients' specialties," said HAP President Brian Effron.
"HAP didn't just pitch their pathology expertise; they proved it," said RPG President Michael Reilly, MD. "We feel confident that HAP is the ideal partner to help manage our financial health and support the growth objectives of our practice."
