Groundbreaking held for new wellness center at VacaValley Hospital

Fairfield, Calif.-based NorthBay Healthcare broke ground Tuesday on a $58 million wellness center at its VacaValley Hospital campus in Vacaville, Calif., according to The Reporter

The 110,000-square-foot building will feature a medical fitness center with pools, exercise equipment, an indoor running track and spas. The facility will also house the NorthBay Cancer Center, currently located in Fairfield, according to the report.

The three-story wellness center also will include an outpatient diagnostic imaging center, diabetes and endocrinology, orthopedics, rehabilitation services and cardiac rehabilitation, the report reads.

The new center has a projected completion date of early summer 2016.
