Glacier County EMS launches billing company

As costs to outsource billing procedures have slowly risen, an emergency medical services provider in Glacier County, Mont., has found it more cost effective to bring its billing processes back in-house, reports Pioneer Press.

Glacier County EMS Director Amie Allison created Hi-Line Healthcare Billing as a way to speed up the billing process, reduce operational costs, save tax payer money and create new jobs in the community.

"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to bring the billing department home to Glacier County EMS instead of using a third party billing company," Ms. Allison told Pioneer Press. "In doing so, we have the ability to keep the money local and open up new jobs."
