Northeast Georgia Health System and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield have a new contract, the Gainesville-based health system said Jan. 6.
The multiyear agreement allows Anthem members to access all NGHS locations, including physician offices and urgent care centers, at in-network rates.
Talks between NGHS and Anthem collapsed before a new contract could be reached by a Sept. 30 deadline. NGHS continued to accept Anthem members at in-network rates a few months after the split, but said it would end that policy on Dec. 31 if a deal wasn't reached by then.
