According to the attorney general’s office, beginning in 2012, Lisa Kwapniowski began falsifying invoices for a fake drug called Broxcilam to a company called RxSYnergy, which she created.
2016 and 2017 were Ms. Kwapniowski’s most profitable years, as she submitted $1.1 million in false claims during both. Hospital administrators learned of the embezzlement this year and terminated Ms. Kwapniowski while turning the matter over to authorities, WOWT News reported.
