For-profit hospital stock report: Week of June 4-8

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest increase in share price at 7.8 percent.

How the five operators stacked up as of June 8:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.27 per share (up 7.8 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $105.37 per share (up 1 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $55 per share (up 3.2 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $36.81 per share (up 4.5 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $115.28 per share (up 1 percent)
