Fitch upgrades Frederick Memorial Hospital to ‘A-‘

Fitch Ratings upgraded Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital’s series 2012A revenue bonds to “A-” from “BBB+.” Concurrently, Fitch assigned the hospital an “A-” issuer default rating.

The upgrade and assignment are a result of several factors, including the hospital’s dominant market position, strong operating performance and favorable leverage metrics.

The outlook is stable.
