For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Sept. 10-14

Three of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare saw the greatest drop in share price, 7.5 percent.

Here's how the five operators stacked up as of Sept. 14:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $3.30 per share (no change)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $133.63 per share (up 0.9 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $64.40 per share (down 0.1 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $28.53 per share (down 7.5 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $125.86 per share (down 0.8 percent)
