The agency rolled out its 2017 update to the Fitch Analytical Comparative Tool, or FACT, Monday. Fitch deems the tool its “most powerful yet for peer comparison of financial metrics in the sector, allowing a degree of issuer specificity and targeting never before available.”
Fitch said FACT includes key financial information for nonprofit hospitals and health systems, and allows users to view metrics by region, system and rating. Users can access five years of data.
“We continue to improve FACT’s functionality as we get feedback from investors and issuers,” said Raj Sanghvi, associate analyst with Fitch Ratings. “The 2017 FACT is the most dynamic tool to date for evaluating and comparing key credit metrics across the nonprofit hospitals and healthcare sector.”
