Fitch assigns ‘AA-‘ IDR to Banner Health

Fitch Ratings assigned an “AA-” issuer default rating to Phoenix-based Banner Health.

The rating is driven by the successful integration of its Tucson, Ariz., market and significant presence in six western states. Fitch expects that gradual improvements to the system’s operating margins will support ongoing capital spending.

The rating outlook is stable.
