Covenant Health taps Cerner for integrated RCM platform

Covenant Health in Knoxville, Tenn., has selected Cerner for its suite of health IT platforms in aims of creating a clinically driven revenue cycle system.

Under the agreement, Covenant will employ Cerner’s clinical, financial and population health systems across the enterprise’s acute hospitals and ambulatory facilities.

In a prepared statement, Covenant Health president and CEO Jim VanderSteeg said, “This relationship will play a significant role in our ability to provide better and more efficient care, and it represents a major investment in the health of our patients and the future of our health system.”
