Here are three things to know.
1. Under the renewal, roughly 3.4 million Florida beneficiaries in managed care plans will continue their coverage through June 30, 2022, according to WLRN.
2. CMS also will allot $1.5 billion annually for the state’s low-income pool. The funds can assist hospitals, federally qualified health centers and rural health centers with uncompensated care costs.
3. CMS said the renewal “is the first demonstration approved through CMS’ new approach to state reporting activities. The agency will monitor progress toward state-selected benchmarks and work with the state to design a meaningful program evaluation.”
