The program, called Bayou Health, will cover Louisiana’s roughly 865,000 Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program beneficiaries. Each enrollee will select one of five health plans, and those managed health networks are then responsible for coordinating that person’s healthcare services, according to the release.
Bayou Health will officially go live on Feb. 1, 2012.
