Mr. Moody first joined John Muir Health in 1993 as director of general accounting. He came over from Arthur Andersen, where he specialized in healthcare, and he immediately began to work up the ranks.

In 1994, he was named the director of financial operations, and from January 1997 to when he was named CFO, he served as vice president of financial operations.

As CFO, Mr. Moody has helped solidify John Muir Health’s financial profile. Moody’s Investors Service recently affirmed the A1 rating on the health system’s $330 million of rated outstanding debt.

When Mr. Moody was promoted to CFO, officials said he “was instrumental in developing the finance department in conjunction with the merger that formed the [then] John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System in 1996,” according to a San Francisco Business Times report.
