In her new role, Ms. Trent oversees two hospitals, three ambulatory surgical centers, diagnostic imaging, physical therapy and sleep clinics, a hyperbaric wound care center and numerous senior living facilities.
Ms. Trent’s duties include managing outside auditor relationships, revenue cycle management, accounting and analysis of hospital outpatient departments. She’ll also assist with developing and applying all internal controls necessary to assure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) requirements.
Ms. Trent originally joined UGHS in May 2013 as CAO and played an invaluable role in helping the system to grow during its first two years as a publicly traded company while providing quality care to patients.
Immediately prior to joining UGHS, Ms. Trent was a Partner with KPMG, a “big four” audit, tax and advisory services firm. Before that, she was a finance associate at DDB Needham, one of the largest advertising firms in the world.
