Here are five key points.
1. The company opened a Nashville, Tenn., office. The new office will serve as the base for CarePayment’s revenue-generating functions.
2. CarePayment appointed George I. Lazenby IV and Mark J. Emkjer to its board of directors.
3. Mr. Lazenby previously served as the CEO of revenue cycle management company Emdeon. Mr. Emkjer is a previous CEO of WebMD Health Services.
4. “George and Mark offer a wealth of strategic insight and hands-on operational expertise in CarePayment’s key market segments, including revenue cycle management services and technology and consumer healthcare services,” said CarePayment CEO Craig Hodges.
5. CarePayment also named Ed Caldwell chief revenue officer. Prior to his new position, Mr. Caldwell was senior vice president of sales and marketing at healthcare contract and document management solutions company MediTract.
