CareCloud and First Data have together unveiled Breeze, a new platform to help healthcare practices manage patient experience.
CareCloud is a Miami-based provider of revenue cycle management, practice management, EHR and patient experience management solutions. First Data is an Atlanta-based company that provides healthcare payments solutions, among other offerings.
Through the Breeze platform, patients will be able to use web and mobile apps to manage physician appointments, complete necessary insurance and medical forms and manage paying for their medical expenses, the companies said.
"People want to have the same kind of technology in the doctor's office that they are using to manage everything else in their lives, whether it's using an app to book a dinner reservation, check in for a flight from their phone, or manage their finances," said CareCloud CEO Ken Comée. "Physicians want to give their patients this kind of automated, digital experience but have been challenged with software that's payer-centric, not patient-centric.
