CGHS and its affiliates will remain in-network for patients with BCBS policies. To allow for the finalization of contract language, a notice of extension has been signed through next Wednesday, according to Megan Allen, publications coordinator at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
CGHS had announced it intended to terminate the contract yesterday, following nearly nine months of negotiation with an agreement. However, the insurer and health system decided to extend negotiations past the midnight deadline.
