Blue Cross has clashed with CHI Nebraska over the rates charged by the hospitals that are part of Omaha, Neb.-based Alegent Creighton Health, which is operated by CHI, according to the report. Lee Hanke, senior vice president with Blue Cross, told the Independent Alegent Creighton Health providers are more expensive than others.
The two sides have until the end of August to reach an agreement on their contract.
