In the survey, more than 1,300 physicians opened up about what motivates them to incorporate new digital tools into their practices.
Physicians said the top three characteristics that attract physicians to digital health tools are that they improve work efficiency, increase patient safety and improve diagnostic ability.
Physicians said they also require digital tools to fit within their current methods of patient care. They said they want tools to have liability coverage and data privacy elements, be linked to their EMR and fit within their existing billing and reimbursement systems and practices.
