The following hospital and health system rating and outlook changes and affirmations took place during the past week, starting with the most recent.

1. Moody's assigns 'A2' rating to University Hospitals' bonds
Moody's Investors Service assigned an "A2" rating to Cleveland-based University Hospitals' series 2014A fixed rate bonds and series 2014B variable rate remarketing obligations.

2. S&P raises Winchester Hospital bond rating to "A-" following Lahey affiliation
S&P raised its long-term rating of Winchester (Mass.) Hospital from "BBB+" to "A-," because of the facility's affiliation with Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health.

3. Moody's affirms Carolinas HealthCare System's 'Aa3' rating
Moody's Investors Service affirmed the "Aa3" rating assigned to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority, which does business as Charlotte, N.C.-based Carolinas HealthCare System.

4. Fitch affirms Frederick Memorial Hospital's 'BBB+' rating
Fitch Ratings affirmed the "BBB+" rating on approximately $99 million of series 2012A revenue bonds issued on behalf of Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital by the Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority.

5. Fitch affirms Butler Health System's 'A-' rating
Fitch Ratings affirmed the "A-" rating on $75.9 million of series 2009B revenue bonds issued on behalf of Butler (Pa.) Health System by the Butler County Hospital Authority.

6. Moody's assigns 'Aa2' rating to Geisinger Health System's bonds
Moody's Investors Service assigned an "Aa2" rating to $62.7 million of series 2014A bonds and $50 million of series 2014B bonds to be issued to Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System.
