Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were recently in the news.

1. Ronald J. Knaus, senior vice president and CFO of Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health, was in the news as he plans to retire Jan. 1, 2018.

2. Jim Johnson, CEO and CFO of Franklin Hospital in Benton, Ill., was in the news discussing the challenges the hospital is facing due to the budget impasse in Illinois.

3. Chad Eckes was in the news as he left his position as CFO of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.

4. Tim Cashman was in the news as he was named CFO of Estes Park (Colo.) Medical Center.

5. Janice Polo was in the news as she was appointed executive vice president and CFO of Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System.
