Ms. Polo has served as vice president of finance of the health system since 2010. As VP, she helped streamline the audit process and was instrumental in transitioning the health system from traditional annual budgeting to quarterly rolling forecasts. In February, she was named interim CFO, following the departure of John Gantner.
Ms. Polo’s previous roles at BayCare include serving as director of finance. Prior to that, she worked in finance at Tampa, Fla.-based St. Joseph’s Health Care, which became part of the health system when BayCare was established in 1997.
BayCare is a nonprofit organization with 14 hospitals and 26,900 employees.
