D.C. Chooses 3 Medicaid Managed Care Firms

District of Columbia officials announced they will award contracts to three firms to manage Medicaid plans in the district — AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Cos., MedStar Family Choice and Thrive Health Plan, according to a report by the Washington Post.

The district council will need to give final approval for the contracts, each of which is worth as much as $668 million a year, according to the report.
