The renovation includes transitioning the hospital’s medical-surgical units to private patient rooms, enhancing on-call space for family medicine, surgery and psychiatry residents during hospital rotations and consolidating Via Christi’s inpatient behavioral health services on the hospital’s sixth and seventh floors.

Behavioral health service improvements are a joint project between Via Christi, United Way of the Plains and the Sedgwick County Public Health Department.

The renovation is slated to reach completion in late 2018.
