Upgrades to the ER include a larger registration desk, an RN station for conversations between nurses and patients or their family members and three new patient exam rooms. The renovation is intended to shorten patient wait times and improve overall efficiency.
The ER will be fully operational Wednesday with quicker access for patients with non-life threatening medical needs through the hospital’s new Rapid Care program
“We can see more patients with the three additional ER patient rooms designed to increase the speed of service allowing us the option to see a greater number of individuals with more beds available,” said Brian Beenes, RN, ER department manager, according to the report.
