Physicians from Blair Medical Associates’ Hollidaysburg, Pa., office and UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics will operate in the building. In addition, UPMC Elite Orthopedics and UPMC Ear, Nose and Throat physicians will provide specialty services at the medical center, and the Central Pennsylvania Asthma and Allergy Center will have offices in the facility.
“We see that we have about 25 percent of our patients come from outside of our main market area so this is our first time in trying to expand our base of operations south of Altoona,” UPMC Altoona COO Mario Wilfong told WTAJ.
Mr. Wilfong said the Logan Medical Building is one of several pushes UPMC Altoona is making to expand its footprint, including an outpatient center in Ebensburg, Pa.
