Trinity Medical Center launches $75M expansion

Steubenville, Ohio-based Trinity Medical Center West will begin a $75 million expansion project the week of June 4, according to the Herald-Star.

The project calls for adding 183,400 square feet to the facility, consolidating services at the West campus and creating an all private-room hospital.

Trinity Health System CEO Matt Grimshaw told the Herald Star that consolidating services will prevent patients from being transferred between Trinity West and Trinity East, which will improve patient care.

"We will not stand still in this ever-changing healthcare environment; we will continue to forge new paths and create new care delivery systems to meet the needs of our community because we believe the good people of this region deserve the very best," Mr. Grimshaw told the Herald Star.

The project is slated for completion in 2021.
