Tennessee hospital receives state OK for $47M expansion

Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital received state approval for its $47 million expansion project, according to WGNS.

The project will include 72 additional beds, construction of a 9,566-square-foot clinical decision unit adjacent to the emergency room and a new surgical center.

“We are pleased to expand our acute care facility at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in response to the rapid growth of Rutherford County and the surrounding areas. Expansions in this community demonstrate our commitment to provide access to personalized, compassionate care, and our dedication to those we serve,” St. Thomas Rutherford President and CEO Gordon Ferguson told WGNS.
