The 50,000-square-foot micro-hospital will house an emergency department with eight to 10 beds and contain eight to 10 inpatient beds. Hospital officials say it will offer 90 percent of the medical services a patient or family would need. It is expected to open in 2019.

“This really puts care closer to the neighborhood where people are actually living,” Integris President and CEO Bruce Lawrence told News9.com.

The micro-hospitals are expected to cut down wait times at Integris’ 24-hour emergency department.

Integris plans to build three other micro hospitals across Oklahoma.
