The final phase of the project added 134,000 square feet to the hospital and 90 beds to two pavilions.
The rebuilding effort also included expanding the emergency department to have 24 private rooms, constructing an amphitheater and museum and adding a new CT scan and X-ray unit.
Cottage Hospital’s renovation project was required under California law, which mandates hospitals to be earthquake-resistant. Construction began in 2005.
Patients and staff will move into the new pavilions Nov. 4.
