Norton Healthcare to build $38M cancer center

Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare has unveiled plans to build a $38 million comprehensive cancer center across from the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, according to Louisville Business First.

The Norton Healthcare Foundation will work to raise funds for the three-story, freestanding building, according to the report.

Norton Cancer Institute is the largest cancer program in the Louisville area, serving more than 4,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients each year.

Norton Cancer Institute-Brownsboro will offer a variety of treatment options, including radiation oncology, medical oncology and infusion therapy, as well as hematology, gynecologic oncology, neuro-oncology, orthopedic oncology and surgical oncology, according to the report.

Construction is expected to be finished in October 2018.
