MD Anderson to double size of proton therapy center

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston will invest $159 million to double the size of its proton therapy center to more than 160,000 square feet.

The expansion will allow patients greater access to the precise radiation therapy used to treat several types of cancer in adult and pediatric patients.

The expanded center is expected to open in November 2023.
