LifeCare opens 49-bed behavioral health hospital

LifeCare Hospitals of Pittsburgh opened a freestanding, 49-bed adult behavioral health hospital at LifeCare’s long-term acute care facility in Wilkinsburg, Pa., Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The long-term acute care facility has undergone a $1 million renovation in the past year, according to the report. The renovation introduced an additional 10 private beds to the facility’s unit.  

LifeCare Behavioral Health Hospital is staffed with three full-time and two part-time psychiatrists, and one nurse and an aide for every 10 patients.
