The outpatient tower, which will be 10 stories, is equipped with a simulation center and plush heated chairs for infusion patients. It houses a maternity care ward, cancer care department, pediatric care unit and physician offices.
The 300,000-square-foot tower is expected to open in late spring or early summer.
The outpatient facility is a strategic move by the hospital as the healthcare industry faces tremendous pressure to be more efficient and outpatient revenue begins to far exceed inpatient revenue.
