Four out of the eight planned birthing suites are now in use at the hospital’s Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center, according to the report.

The suites each contain a private bathroom, labor tubs and automated black out curtains, among other features.

French Hospital Medical Center expects the four remaining birthing suites, as well as a new waiting room, to be finished and ready for use by spring 2017.
