Freeman Neosho breaks ground on hospital expansion

Freeman Neosho (Mo.) Hospital held a ground breaking ceremony last Thursday to kick off expansion efforts on its main campus, reports The Joplin Globe.

The hospital plans to replace an existing parking lot on the west side of the building with an additional 1,710 square feet of space. The new area will house the hospital's CT and MRI services.

Freeman Neosho Hospital will also renovate 13,000 square feet of existing space, according to Renee Denton, COO of the hospital.

The project, slated for completion in late 2017, will cost almost $2.5 million, according to hospital officials.
