The new 320,000-square-foot building will house 120 inpatient rooms, an emergency department, two catheterization labs and a 24-hour intensive care unit. The facility will also provide imaging services, urology services, radiology care, and outpatient rehabilitation.

“This is really going to transfer health care in Apopka and the surrounding community. It offers four operating rooms, which today there has been no surgery done in Apopka,” Tim Cook, Florida Hospital Apopka administrator told the Orlando Business Journal.

The construction for the new facility took roughly two years to complete.
