ER physicians open 4th urgent care clinic in Nashville

A group of emergency room physicians is opening its fourth urgent care clinic, this time in West Nashville, Tenn., according to a report from the Tennessean.

The seven physician co-owners decided to open their latest location of the Physicians Urgent Care in West Nashville because the area's population is booming, according to the report. The clinic will be open seven days a week and offers an alternative to the emergency room for patients who need immediate treatment, but may not need hospital care. For example, Physicians Urgent Care can help patients with broken bones, flu symptoms or cuts that need stitches, according to the report.

Six of the seven physicians work at Saint Thomas Health, but the urgent care facilities are independent, according to the report.
