Bowie Memorial sets tentative date for reopening

The former Bowie (Texas) Memorial Hospital is slated to tentatively reopen March 1, roughly a year after hospital board members signed a contract to sell the facility to Hashmi Group for $1.5 million, Times Record News reports.

The hospital is reopening as Central Hospital of Bowie. CEO Faraz Hashmi said the reopening date was tentative due to onboarding and training new hires.

The financially troubled Bowie Memorial Hospital closed in November 2015.
