Fahim Rahim, MD, a physician at Blackfoot, Idaho-based Bingham Health Care is joining other area physicians in a plan to to build a new medical campus this spring in Chubbuck County, Idaho, according to the Idaho State Journal.
Dr. Rahim said he hopes the campus will offer inpatient, outpatient and urgent care services as well as all orthopedic and primary care services. He believes there will be between 30 and 35 physicians working at the campus.
"My vision is to continue to build places of healing where several physicians can work under one roof and provide coordinated and integrated care," said Dr. Rahim, according to the Idaho State Journal. "Currently healthcare is very disjointed and our patients have to travel all over town and still don't get affordable integrated care in a timely manner."
Dr. Rahim said he believes the new campus will provide increased competition in the region, which he hopes will drive down the cost of care.
