The move comes one week after news broke that the behavioral health giant is in talks with multiple private equity firms about selling itself.

The proposed new hospital would house 80 beds for behavioral health, including a 20-bed unit for adolescents, two 20-bed units for adults and a 20-bed unit for geriatrics. In addition, it would incorporate a community center.

The hospital would create about 200 jobs.
