4 things to know about Kaiser Permanente’s growing Washington state footprint

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente is expanding into Washington state, according to a KXLY report.

Here are four things to know.

1. Kaiser acquired Seattle-based Group Health Cooperative on Feb. 1.

2. Under the deal, Kaiser has added more than 651,000 Group Health members in Washington state, according to a news release.

3. Kaiser overall now has 25 primary care facilities in 17 cities in the state, reports KXLY.

4. Kaiser vowed to spend $1 billion on facilities in the region over the next 10 years, reports KXLY.
