13 Practice Greenhealth System for Change Award honorees

Practice Greenhealth has recognized 13 health systems that gather data, set system goals, benchmark and share successes in environmental performance with the 2016 System for Change Award.

To qualify for the System for Change Award, a health system must have at least five hospitals or long-term care facilities and joined Practice Greenhealth as a health system. Additionally, at least 20 percent of the health system’s facilities must have applied for and met the criteria for the Partner for Change Award.

The 13 health system that snagged the System for Change Award in 2016 are listed below, in alphabetical order.

  1. Advocate Health Care (Downers Grove, Ill.)
  2. Bon Secours Health System (Marriottsville, Md.)
  3. Cleveland Clinic Health System
  4. Fairview Health Services (Minneapolis)
  5. HealthPartners (Bloomington, Minn.)
  6. Hospital Sisters Health System (Springfield, Ill.)
  7. Inova Health System (Falls Church, Va.)
  8. NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston, Ill.)
  9. Spectrum Health System (Grand Rapids, Mich.)
  10. University Hospitals Health System (Cleveland)
  11. VA Great Lakes Health Care System (Westchester, Ill.)
  12. VHA VISN 04 Health Care System (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
  13. Veterans Health Administration (Washington, D.C.)
