Four notes:
1. Piedmont Healthcare began installing Epic at its facilities in 2012.
2. The launch at Piedmont Columbus Regional campuses went underway nearly one year ago and includes Atlanta-based Piedmont Physicians of Midtown, Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside, two Piedmont urgent care facilities and 30 Piedmont physicians’ offices.
3. More than 2,000 clinicians and hospital staff were trained to use the new EHR.
4. With Epic, Piedmont Columbus Regional patients now have access to the MyChart patient portal, which lets patients communicate with their providers, schedule appointments and view test results online.
