Three notes:
1. The 20-bed critical access hospital’s current information technology system requires various third-party solutions, BCHCC CEO Don Naiberk said in a news release.
2. BCHCC will install the Cerner Millennium EHR, which allows patients access to an online portal where they can message their physicians, schedule appointments and view their health information.
3. The hospital will also use Cerner’s cloud-based delivery model CommunityWorks. The information technology platform is designed for rural and community hospital markets and offers patients access to an online patient portal.
