By implementing Epic, Montage Health will transition from using many EHRs to using just one. All Montage Health entities, including Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, Montage Medical Group, Aspire Health Plan and Community Health Innovations, as well as participating clinicians affiliated with Montage, will use the Epic system.

Additionally, Montage Health patients will gain access to Epic’s MyChart patient portal, enabling them to view their patient information, test results and appointment schedule as well as manage prescriptions and communicate with their care team. Montage Health will be able to more securely and efficiently share patient information with other healthcare organizations in the region.

“With Epic, we can provide better care for the individual, as well as look at issues impacting large populations of patients and proactively address risks to prevent illness and keep people out of the hospital,” said Steve Packer, MD, president and CEO of Montage Health.
